CONDUCT UNBECOMING

Players and/or their guest(s) shall conduct themselves in a responsible manner at all times.  Any excessive display of anger, vulgar language, club throwing, alcohol abuse, lack of golfing etiquette or disrespect to a fellow player or any other individual may be grounds for disqualification from any tournament.  The Golf Channel Amateur Tour reserves the right to revoke the membership, without a refund, of any individual at any time for conduct deemed inappropriate or damaging to the Tour.

PACE OF PLAY: 4:30:  Each group is individually responsible for maintaining and policing their groups pace of play.  The finishing time for each hole is located on your scorecard.  Players may inform another contestant that he/she is the cause of the group being out of position as a courtesy to that player.  Rules Officials are not required to notify groups that they are out of position.

  • 2-stroke penalty will be assessed for failing to complete the front or back nine in 2 hours 15 minutes or more and more than 4:30.
  • 2-stroke penalty will be assessed for any group playing in 4:30+ and finishing 14+ minutes behind the group in front of them.
  • 3 offenses on Tour will earn you a minimum six month suspension from the Tour.

RULE 20.1C(3) (Formerly Rule 3-3):  For any ruling question or doubt as to procedure.  Rule 3-3 is announcing your intention to play two (2) balls, complete the hole with both balls, and bring to the attention of the tournament committee before you turn in your signed scorecard.

GROUND UNDER REPAIR:  Denoted by closed white lines and newly sodded areas as well as the following:  (1) damage caused by maintenance vehicles or golf carts, (2) fallen or cut trees/tree limbs not growing or attached and (3) Tree wells for ground under trees artificially altered (depression or embankments or sink holes) for and from irrigation, (4) roped off areas which include areas in the fairway, and the rough, (5) Sodded areas include sod lines and newly sodded areas.

OUT OF BOUNDS: Defined by streets, roadways, property fence lines and white stakes surrounding the golf course. Please do not attempt to retrieve your golf ball from homeowner’s property.

DROP ZONES: Hole #17 will have a drop zone near the front tee, approximately 100 yards out. Any ball entering the hazard on these holes may utilize the drop zone at their discretion. You may put a provisional ball in play from the teeing ground if you believe your ball may be in the hazard for pace of play purposes.

MAN-MADE OBSTRUCTIONS: Players may take free relief from interference with swing or stance from man-made obstructions. For example, #5 left rough has electric boxes which may come into play. If the player is obstructed from swing or stance, the player may take the nearest point of free relief, no closer to the hole.

EMBEDDED BALL:  The embedded ball rule is in effect in closely mown areas only.

CELL PHONES:  Cell Phones need to be in the off position during the round. The only time a player may use a cell phone is to call for an emergency or to take a picture of situations that arise on the golf course which may help determine a final ruling decision under Rule 3-3.

ONE BALL RULE NOT IN EFFECT:  Each player should put an identification mark on his ball and alert his fellow competitors of such.  The one ball rule is not in effect.

TIME OF STARTING:   It is the responsibility of the player to be at the correct starting hole at least 10 minutes in advance of the start time.  A 2-stroke penalty will be assessed to any player not ready to start at their starting time.  Note to rule 6-3 and optional condition in appendix 1.

PRACTICE BETWEEN HOLES PROHIBITED:  Note 2 to Rule 7 & Optional Condition in Appendix 1 shall be in effect.  Penalty:  2 strokes
