EVENT OVERVIEW

 

The Golf Channel Amateur Tour is proud to be going back to Houston, TX for another Am Tour Major Championship.  The two golf courses being utilized are the Golf Club of Houston and the Walden on Lake Houston golf course. 

 

The Golf Club of Houston needs no introduction.  It's played host to the Houston Open on the PGA TOUR numerous times.  In fact, the 2019 Houston Open will be played exactly one month prior to this Am Tour Major.  So players will be experiencing  PGA TOUR like conditions on this outstanding golf course. 

 

This year we are marrying the GC of Houston with Walden on Lake Houston.  Walden has been a signature golf course on the Houston Am Tour for numerous years.  With it's many scenic golf holes, plenty of water lurking at every turn, Am Tour players will be sure to enjoy this terrific Houston area gem.   Each golf course is about 20 minutes away from each other, so players will have an easy time getting to each golf course.      

 

Entry fee includes all green fees, cart fees, range balls, trophies, player welcome gift, generous prize fund and electronic scoring.

ENTRY FEE & PAYMENT OPTION

 

Entry Fee is $485, which includes 36 holes of golf with a shared golf cart and a player welcome prize upon registration.

 

 

FORMAT

 

36-hole stroke play Major championship.  All entries are on a first come, first served basis

 

 

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS / PAIRINGS

Friday, November 8th - Player Practice Rounds at both golf courses

 

Saturday, November 9th - Player Registration at Walden on Lake Houston Golf Club - 6:30a - 9:30a

Saturday, November 9th - First round tee times off #1 and #10 - 7:30a (Walden on Lake Houston)

Sunday, November 10th - Final round tee times off #1 and #10 - 7:30a  (Golf Club of Houston)

Sunday, November 10th - Awards Ceremonies - 1:00p - 3:00p at the Golf Club of Houston

 

Groups will be paired in foursomes and threesomes 

 

 

 

ENTRY DEADLINE

 

Registration opens:  July 1st, 2019

Registration closes:  November 1st, 2019

 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

 

A $75 cancellation fee will apply to any withdraw prior to the established deadline of November 1st at 5:00 PM EST

Any withdraws after the established deadline will not be refunded.
