Golf Channel AmTour - Gulf Coast Caddie and Spectator Policy

If there is an issue with the behavior of a spectator(s), or caddie(s), the individual(s) will be asked to leave the premises. Per Rule 6.1 of the USGA® Rules of Golf, the player incurs the applicable penalty for any breach of a rule by his/her caddie, including unsportsmanlike conduct.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome at all Am Tour tournaments provided the course allows spectators to walk the course and the spectators do not interfere with players or pace of play. Spectators are the responsibility of the player they are watching and must remain out of play (i.e. remain on cart path, rough, etc.) and practice proper golf etiquette at all times.

Spectators are not permitted in a player golf cart (exception: If allowed by the course staff a spectator may ride in a cart to the starting hole and from green to tee of each hole. In addition, a spectator may sit in a player cart only when it is parked at a tee or at a green). Use of player golf carts are for the sole purpose of the players and their caddies.

The use of a spectator cart is not allowed at any Am Tour Major, or National Event, however at the host course’s discretion available spectator carts are allowed on the Birmingham and Gulf Coast Tour events as long as the spectator and cart remain on the cart path and out of play. It will be the player’s responsibility to make all arrangements with the course for spectator carts. GC Am Tour staff will not be involved or held responsible in anyway.

Caddies

Caddies will be required to perform caddie duties.

Caddies are welcome at all Am Tour tournaments provided the course allows caddies to walk the course and the caddies do not interfere with pace of play. Caddies are the responsibility of the associated player and are requested to practice proper golf etiquette.

The use of caddie carts is not allowed at any Am Tour Major, or National Event, but at the host course’s discretion available caddie carts may be rented at Birmingham and Gulf Coast Tour events for a caddies’ use. In addition, if a seat is available in a player cart and if allowed by the host course, a caddie may ride during play.

It is always the player’s responsibility to make any and all arrangements with the course concerning Caddie and/or Spectator cart arrangements. Never expect the tournament director or tournament staff to make these arrangements for any caddie or spectator.

However, If a player that has a caddie will notify the director at the time they sign up for an event an effort will be made to assist in placing the player in a cart alone leaving a caddie spot. There will be no guarantee nor any responsibility that the director actually can or will make this happen.
