EVENT OVERVIEW

Restored and reestablished in 2017, The South Course features 18 holes of championship golf in New Orleans City Park. The pristine Sourth course was designed by renouned golf course Rees Jones and Greg Muirhead. Sitting on over 200 acres, the South Course measures between 5,054 and 7,302 yards and can accomidate players of all skill levels.

 


 

FORMAT

18-hole stroke play championship.  All entries are on a first come, first served basis.

 

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

All participants are required to check-in at least 30 minutes prior to their starting time. Registration and scoring will be held in or near the main Clubhouse. 

 

Starting times, locations and pairings will be emailed to each Tour Player and posted online at least 3 days in advance of the tournament. All players should be at their assigned tee a minimum of 10 minutes in advance of their start time. Starters will have information to discuss and distribute to each player in the group. Starters/course are not responsible for getting players to the tee.

 

Procedures for awards and ties

 

* Payouts will be awarded to (approximately) the top 30% of each flight

* Trophies will be awarded to Event Champions

* In the event of a tie for 1st place, an on-course playoff will commence immediately following conclusion of regular play.

* All other places will be handled by a scorecard playoff

Practice Round Rate

 

$59.00 plus tax for Friday practce rounds. Let course staff know you are playing in the event when you book.

 

 

ENTRY FEE, PAYMENT OPTIONS & SIDE GAMES

 

Entry fee includes green fees, cart fees, range balls, trophies, scoring, and prize fund.


An optional $20 Flight Skins game, a $10 Giant Skins game and a $10 David Ferhity Troops First 50/50 Raffle will be made available to interested players at check-in.

 

Players may request to pay the entry fee via cash or check at the event.  To put in your request, please contact Frank Knowles by email at

On most events approved players may pay by cash or check if prior arrangements have been made with the director. Once a player has made the commitment the arrangement falls under the same restrictions as any other registration. Cancellation fees are still owed if a player cancels prior to the cancellation deadline and full tournament fees are still owed if cancellation occurs after Registration Close.

The players commitment to play is still valid and all monies due must be paid before the player will be allowed to play another Birmingham or Gulf Coast event.

CANCELLATION POLICY

 

A $35.00 CANCELLATION FEE WILL BE CHARGED UNTIL REGISTRATION CLOSING.

WITHDRAWALS AFTER REGISTRATION CLOSES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON.
