EVENT OVERVIEW
Welcome to the first annual Philly Cup Matches. Where the top finishers in the 2018 Player of the Year standings square off in a match play event. Eight members of the Senior Division vs. Eight members of the Open Division.
This year's event will be hosted by the Philmont Country Club. With matches taking place on the front nine of the South Course and the front nine of the North Course.

FORMAT
Better Ball of Partners
Two seperate nine hole matches. This will be a handicapped event using player's tournament index as of Oct. 8.
Each match will be worth 4 points. The first three holes are worth one point, the second three holes are worth one point, the third three holes worth one point, and the overall nine holes worth one point.
Example:

Team A wins the first three holes 1 - 0 and earns 1 point
The match is split in the second three holes with each team earning 1/2 point.
Team B wins the last three holes 2 - 0 earning 1 point
Team B also wins the nine hole total 3 holes to 2 earning another point
Final Results:
Team A - 1 1/2 points
Team B - 2 1/2 points
This format may seem confusing but it adds a lot of importance to the last two holes and makes for a much more exciting match. Plus no match is over after five holes. Every hole is important all the way to the end.

ENTRY FEE & PAYMENT OPTION
All sixteen qualified entrants will be manually entered into the event by the local director. There will be no need for you to register.
Entry fee of $75 includes green fees, cart fees, use of practice facility, and a catered lunch. Winner's of each team will receive a $50 Dick's Sporting Goods gift card and will have their name premanently attached to the Philly Cup Matches Trophy.
