August 3 - 4, 2019
EVENT OVERVIEW
The Western Classic returns to the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort. Located in northwest Las Vegas, summer temps can be relatively cool here at elevation and Paiute always has a nice breeze and arguably the best playing conditions of all Major Championships. Players will compete and have a scheduled round on the Sun Mountain Course and the Wolf Course and both feature amazing views of the awe-inspiring landscape and mountains at Paiute.
Entry fee includes green fees, cart fees, use of practice facility, tee prize(s), generous prize fund, scoring, and trophy to event champions. The event is worth Double Points and the Top 3 Finishers & Ties will qualify for the 2019 National Championship.
The Sun Mountain Course is the original course at Paiute and has wide fairwayss and seven holes with water. A classic risk/reward course, players will see a lot of movement on the leaderboard coming down the stretch at this classic desert course.
The Wolf course is the newest and most difficult. The signature course at Paiute leads the pack and is the longest course in Nevada. Marrying length with raw beauty, the course is infamous for its severe undulations, alternate landing areas, and a stunning 15th hole island green.
