EVENT OVERVIEW

The 9th annual WESTERN INVITATIONAL returns to Sandpiper Golf Course in Santa Barbara, CA.  This player-favorite Major Championship brings you to the edge of the Pacific Ocean.  With breathtaking mountain and ocean views from every hole, Sandpiper is a truly memorable experience. 

Rated by Golf Digest as one of the top 25 public courses in the country, Sandpiper's dynamic design attracts players of all skill levels including players of the highest caliber.   A great mix of easy holes, more difficult holes, and risk-reward options Sandpiper has arguably the best greens on an annual basis as well. 

Entry fee includes green fees, cart fees, use of practice facility, tee prize(s), scoring, generous prize fund, double points, and trophies.  In addition the Top 3 Finishers & Ties (per flight) will qualify for the 2019 National Championship. 

Notably, Tour alum and 2-time American Century Celebrity Champion Mark Mulder won the inaugural playing of this event in 2010.

FORMAT

 

36-hole Major Championship.  All entries are on a first come, first served basis

 

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS / PAIRINGS

June 21 5PM - 7PM On-Site Registration & Check-In
June 22 6AM - 8AM On-Site Registration & Check-In
June 22 11AM - 1PM On-Site Registration & Check-In
June 22 7AM - 2PM 1st round of Stroke Play
June 23 7AM - 2PM Final Round of Stroke Play
June 23 12PM - 7PM Awards Ceremony for each flight as soon as the last scorecard is turned in for that particular flight

 

ENTRY FEE & PAYMENT OPTION

 

All entries must be pre-paid online with a credit card

 

ENTRY DEADLINE

 

Entry deadline is June 5 at 6PM.  This event is anticipated to become full much before the entry deadline.  All entries will be on a 1st come 1st served basis.  

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

 

Players may withdraw up until June 5 at 6PM and incur a $75 cancellation fee.  Any no-shows or late withdraws will not be refunded for any reason.
