EVENT OVERVIEW
 

The Pinehust Amateur is the most popular tournament on the Golf Channel Am Tour.  It is held at the beautiful Pinehurst Resort utilizing the world famous #2 Course and the #8 Course.

I think you will understand why the best consider Pinehurst to be the very roots of championship golf in America with more championships contested here than any other club in the country.  This is a place where you will get to walk the same fairways as Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, and Payne Stewart and you will get to take on the same challenges.  #2 has hosted two US Opens, a US Amateur, and the womens US Open.


Entry fee includes all green fees, cart fees, range balls, trophies, player welcome packs, generous prize fund, and scoring.

QUALIFIERS

The top 3 finishers per flight, including ties, will earn an exemption into the 2019 National Championship

CADDIE POLICY

 

OUTSIDE CADDIES ARE NOT ALLOWED AT PINEHURST!!!
The Only way to play is to ride in a cart or walk and take a Pinehurst Caddie

If a player would like to reserve a caddie, the player must contact the caddie master at Pinehurst.  His name is Jimmy Smith.  His e-mail address is jimmy.smith@caddiemaster.org and his phone number is 910.235.8149.

A limited number of caddies are available so reservations are being taken for the #2 course only.  If there are caddies available when you play #8, then you can use a caddie on #8, however, that will be after all requests for #2 have been filled. 

The cost per round for a caddie is $95 with a minimum $50 gratuity for a minimum total of $145.  Gratuities need to be paid in cash and the caddie fee can be charged to the room or credit card.

Spectators are welcome at all Golf Channel Amateur Tour tournaments provided the course allows spectators to walk the course and the spectators do not interfere with pace of play.  Spectators are the responsibility of the player they are watching and must remain out of play and practice proper golf etiquette at all times. 

Caddies are the responsibility of the associated player and are requested to practice proper golf etiquette.  If there is an issue with the behavior of a spectator(s), or caddie(s), the individual(s) will be asked to leave the premises.    

Spectators and/or caddies are not permitted in a player golf cart at anytime.  Use of carts are for the sole use of the players.  Any spectator or caddie found riding in a golf cart may result in the immediate disqualification of the player(s) who are associated with the violating spectator(s) and/or caddie(s) at 2019 Major Championships and the 2019 National Championship.  Spectators are not allowed to rent carts at any Golf Channel Amateur Major Championship or National Championship.

Tournament check-in will be from 3:30pm to 6:30pm in the St. Andrews Room across from the Donald Ross Grill

First Round of play from 7:30 to 9:30 am off Holes #1 and #10

Final Round of play from 7:30 to 9:30 am off Holes #1 and #10

 

Sunday January 6th, 2019

Awards Presentation at the clubhouse where you finish

 

 

ENTRY FEE & PAYMENT OPTION

 

$695 is the entry fee and it includes one scheduled round on the #2 Course and one scheduled round for the #8 Course. Entry fee includes all green fees, cart fees, range balls, trophies, player welcome packs, generous prize fund, and scoring

 

ENTRY DEADLINE

 

Registration Opens on March 1st at noon and closes on July 5th at Noon.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY5

A $75 Cancellation fee applies to any cancellation prior to July 5th, 2019 at 12:00PM.  Any cancellation after July 5th, 2019 at 12:00PM will not be refunded for any reason.

 

 

ACCOMMODATIONS

The Pinehurst resort is offering the following room rates for the Golf Channel Am Tour.  To make your room reservations, please call 1-800-487-4653.

Carolina Rate:
Single or Double Occupancy: $212.00 per room, per night
Holly Rate:
Single or Double Occupancy: $181.00 per room, per night

Resort Service Fee
A 10% resort service fee will be placed on each room rate on a nightly basis. This includes use of the Fitness Center, on-site transportation, HSIA in guest rooms, valet and self parking, beach club and outdoor pools (based on seasonal availability), bicycles, afternoon tea in the Carolina, practice putting greens and driving range. The Resort Service Fee also includes gratuities for the bell and door staff.

Taxes
The nightly package rate and resort service fee are subject to North Carolina sales tax, currently 6.75%. A separate Moore County occupancy tax of 3% is charged on the room portion of the nightly package total, as well as on the room portion of the resort service fee. State and county taxes are subject to change without notice.

 

Practice Rounds

Practice rounds can be arranged by calling 855-235-8507.  You must be staying at the resort to be able to play a practice round.
